how to get your motivation back
When I first started training, I was gung-ho. I wanted the results as fast as possible.
So I went all in. 7 days a week at the gym, the cleanest diet you've ever seen, and highly meticulous protein shakes and post workout nutrition.
But that only lasted for a month or two before I fell off. That level of responsibility was too much, eventually my willpower failed me. My energy to workout was shot. I had no motivation, nothing to work towards, just shame and self loathing.
Each time this happened, it took me a month before I would make my way back in the gym again. No matter how much I knew I 'needed' to go, or even 'wanted' to go - I couldn't make myself do it.
If you've fallen off the wagon before, this might sound familiar to you. Your circumstance may be different, but the lack of willpower remains the same.
One of the best ways to get yourself out of this slump, into a motivated and active state of mind again, is to set a goal for yourself.
But not any goal, a S.M.A.R.T. goal.
A smart goal is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results-focused, and Time-bound.
All of these aspects are very important, but give extra attention to A. Achievable.
If your goals aren't achievable within a reasonable amount of time (T.), you're setting yourself up for failure and disappointment.
Set smaller goals... Milestone types of goals. Rather than paying attention to the total weight you want to lose, make a miniature weight loss goal.
2lbs is a good start. Or to make it to the gym 2 days per week for 4 weeks.
Or to start taking a supplement consistently that helps you feel better and perform better. Like Greens Factor.
Taking 1 serving of Greens Factor every day can be a gateway to getting your goals back on track. You'll feel less bloated, your stomach will be flatter, and you'll notice how much better your digestion is.
That's from the greens, probiotics and digestive enzymes in Greens Factor, helping to keep your gut in great shape.
One small choice, or one small goal, can put you on the path to success. It doesn't have to be a massive overnight change - you can prioritize your health gradually, in a way that's easy to stick to.
If you want to try it out, I guarantee you're going to love what it does for you. The Peach Mango flavor is the best greens flavor you'll ever taste, so I'd go with that one.
